The Hayden Creek and Wingate Hill Drifts are alpine glacial deposits.  The drift in northeast Washington was deposited by the Cordilleran Ice Sheet in Late and pre-Late Wisconsin (Stoffel and others, 1991).  Most deposits are gravel to fine-grained sand.  Finer-grained material (silt and clay) is incidental.
